These include the Byzantine castle, the temple to the goddess Aphrodite (the goddess of love and fertility in Greek mythology) and the Tombs of the Kings. The latter are spread over a huge area and consist of inpressive underground chambers which date back to the 4th century BC. They were carved out of solid rock and some are decorated with pillars.
