The Molton Brown story begins in 1973 at 58 South Molton Street in the heart of London's Mayfair. Initially a hair salon Molton Brown set out to bring a natural ethos to a world excited by synthetics. Before long we were hand-mixing new body hair and skin creations on site using flowers herbs fruit and marine plants. Today the scale is bigger but the same quality creativity and passion still flow through the veins of the company and inspire everything we do. Our principles remain the same: we still seek out the most interesting and potent natural plant and mineral extracts on earth; we strive to answer a lifestyle need and go deeper than our peers; we don't test on animals; we are environmentally responsible; we continue to make 80% of our products in-house at our English base; and we are proud to keep on doing our thing without the pressure to conform.
