HMS Victory Background

HMS Victory is best known as Nelson's flag ship in the battle of Trafalgar. Construction of the Victory started the same year that Nelson was born and she was involved in many actions prior to Nelson's arrival. 104 guns in total, HMS Victory was badly damaged during the battle but survived to be repaired. She brought Nelson's body back to the UK prior to repairs on her being fully completed.

Her life after that did not become her current status. Run down whilst used as a training ship, HMS Victory has undergone much restoration and remains the oldest commissioned ship in the Navy.

This model is so meticulous that it has the same number of timbers as the restored HMS Victory Ship in Portsmouth. The wooden parts are pre cut and numbered and the silk flags and 104 burnished metal cannon really set of the model ship beatifully.

HMS Victory Luxury Model Ship Kit - 1:90

Again, this model is so meticulous that it has the same number of timbers as the restored HMS Victory Ship in Portsmouth. It contains precut and numbered timbers, burnished metal cannon and silk flags. The stern gallery is an exact reproduction of HMS Victory and the whole model ship is represented in 13 sheets of model ship plans.
